Our Work

Schools

At Project Period, we have always been committed to the belief that every student deserves access to free period products. We understand the challenges and barriers that menstruating individuals face, particularly in educational settings. Our mission is to break down these barriers and ensure that no student has to miss out on their education due to a lack of access to essential menstrual supplies.

Through our dedicated efforts, we have worked tirelessly to provide schools with free period products, ensuring that students have a safe and dignified experience during their menstrual cycles. By partnering with schools, we have been able to distribute thousands of period products to students in need.

We firmly believe that access to menstrual products is not a luxury but a basic necessity. It is our goal to normalize conversations surrounding menstruation and empower students by providing them with the resources they need to manage their periods with confidence and without interruption.

In 2023, Project Period partnered with Teachers’ Treasures in an effort to reach more students in more schools throughout our community.

PQC

Project Period’s Community Initiative is geared towards partnerships with other non-profits and community organizations such as homeless shelters, health & wellness centers, churches, food pantries, women’s shelters, and other entities providing resources and support to underserved individuals in Central Indiana.

Our Community Initiative is supported by the Pink Quarterly Club (PQC) program. PQC is a subscription box style program where Project Period provides participating community organizations with a box of menstrual hygiene products free of charge for distribution on a quarterly basis.

Our inaugural organizations included Center of Wellness for Urban Women, Carmel United Methodist Church Food Pantry, Little Red Door, and Middle Way House.
